Singapore Machinery Company (SMC), established in 1977, has more than four decades of experience providing high quality, cost effective and innovative solutions in the apparel and textile manufacturing industry.

The entry to the India market dates more than 15 years back, when we introduced our Smartmrt Unit Production System (UPS) to a jeans manufacturing company. They have since been using our system, witnessing how the UPS enhanced their growth in production, data management and human resources, increasing overall processes effectiveness and efficiency.

Over the years, the demand for professional consultancy in production management had increased significantly. This meant that, increased automation and creative solutions to combat lack manpower and skilled labour, were more sought after than before. The adoption of Smartmrt UPS continues to attract adoption by many companies.

SMC wealth of experience over four decades of operation, had contributed in assisting many companies’ breakthrough
growth barriers to expand into some of the world’s top companies in the garment and textile manufacturing industry.

SMC boast of our own manufacturing plant for the Smart UPS system in Malaysia, and software research and development team in Singapore; where we constantly seek to improve and provide top-of-the line solutions for our customers. Wealso have our own team of engineers and service support team to serve the global market demands.

SMC works with some of the most renowned partners across the globe to extend our products and service reach to
our customers. Our partners span across countries such as India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand), Vietnam, U.A.E, Bulgaria, Poland and Brazil.

SMC believes that the world is our market. We constantly venture into new geographical markets while continuing to
expand our reach in existing market. Currently, the major markets for our company are in Asia and Middle East.

In my opinion, the next few years in India will we witness an exponential growth in the garment and textile manufacturing sector. This is a result of the outpouring of resources and positive sentiment by the global investors on the Middle East and Asia market. I am personally excited for the opportunities that will be made available for business and local market.
